OBXI

-----------------------------------------------------------

My body lies over the ocean,

My body lies over the sea,

My body lies upon an island

That is where you'll find me.

My island's spire is black & white

It shines its beacon through the night

Striped in horizontal bands

It can be seen across the sands

Out in the ocean, near and far

But you'll have to get to me by car

Take a walk around the back

Heading towards the marshland tract

There's a path that you will see,

And a bridge, but that's not me.

Just before you leave this glade

Look left before the path that's made.

You'll find me low, loose I'm afraid.

Amidst the brambles, sticks and such

In a small box, it's really not much

Take me down the path before you

There, find a spot, I implore you

Where my contents can be revealed

Thoroughly examined and then resealed

Place me back where I was before

Securely snug, I know it's a chore

I hope that you will please take care

The tides will rise, I must beware.

Bring a boulder if you dare!

OBXII

-------------------------------------------

It's the main attraction but it's not fair

If it hadn't been moved it wouldn't be there.

But I know it's me that you're coming to see

To stamp your pad so gleefully

This beacon's biggest, if not the best

And from my place it's directly West

I'm hidden due East of its base

Beneath a log is my resting place

Buried there I'm sure you'll find

The second stamp of this kind

If you can't fine me look again

I'm buried towards the southern end.

OBXIII

------------------------------------------

A rogue I was in yesteryear,

Not a man alive did I fear

My facial hair was long and black

'Twas naval ships I did attack

'Twas easy then for me to be thus

'Cause there was no light to guide their thrust.

But in the end, alas, my death was just

If there's a lesson that I must Teach

Your destination, you must reach

Find my isle's guiding light

Take its path, turn left not right

Past the third tree include the stump

You'll find me 'neath the "penta" clump!

Take care to hide my treasure well

This path is traveled oft I heard tell.
